With its in-depth knowledge of traditional methods used for protecting and presenting period stained glass, the Atelier Simon-Marq carries out all kinds of restoration work, taking full account of the way techniques have evolved over time.
Jacques Simon was commissioned to restore the stained glass windows of Reims Cathedral after the First World War, based on rubbings made by his grandfather in 1830. The expertise acquired by the Atelier Simon-Marq in the field of restoration has grown steadily over the years.

For decades, the Atelier Simon-Marq has worked with artists from all over the world, supporting them in their creative endeavours. We have earned an outstanding reputation in this area, working on civil and religious buildings and for corporate and individual clients.
This project carried out with the artist Jean-Paul Agosti in 2014 was a landmark in the history of French stained glass: over three hundred square metres of stained glass were created for the Chapelle Saint-Joseph in Reims over a period of seven years, funded by 1,500 sponsors.

Two stained glass windows designed by the artist Catherine Roch de Hillerin have been created by the Atelier Simon-Marq and installed in the Church of Saint-Hilaire in the town of Givet in the Ardennes. Sixteen further windows are planned thanks to a crowdfunding initiative.
